Every human interaction offers you the chance to make things better or make things worse.

Make Things Better®

Make Things Better® is a grassroots movement founded by Kynda that exists to start a different story, a stronger alternative narrative. One that celebrates antidotes to the in-some-ways-near-crisis age we live in. And one that spreads the idea of a happier, safer, more hopeful, and more giving world.

Make Things Better Fund

The Make Things Better Fund is our financial commitment to the people and organizations who are actively, passionately, and consistently using their roles to drive change in the areas of education, creativity, equity, inclusion, and environmental stewardship.

Our team donated $20,000 in 2020 to individuals and organizations advancing the cause of justice and equality in our community and our world. See our 2020 grantees here.

Make Things Better®

through education.

Creating opportunities to cultivate gifts and abilities, to grow character and personality, to broaden experiences and horizons, and to become increasingly more effective in service to the world.

through creativity.

Using art, literature, music, and movement to positively affect and move people, adding value to businesses, organizations, relationships, communities, and the whole of society.

through equity.

Awakening to privilege, bias, and blind spots in public health, politics, education, and racial justice to establish policies and practices that remove causes of inequity and promote justice.

through inclusion.

Affirming the value of each person, their perspectives, their experiences, and their gifts to create a braver, stronger, more kind and loving world.

through environmental stewardship.

Addressing issues related to climate change, pollution, water access, sustainable food systems, and biodiversity to preserve and protect our world for future generations.

$20,000 in 2020

Our team donated $20,000 in 2020 to individuals and organizations in West Michigan working to remove causes of inequity and promote justice. Grantees were nominated by our team and vetted by a group of advisors. They were awarded funds ranging from $500 to $3,500 in December 2020.

Noah is a videographer and photographer at Kynda. Noah loves being able to create something that was once an idea, to a product that everyone can love and be passionate about. When Noah is not at work, you can catch him being a disappointed Detroits sports fan, or spending time with his friends and family.

A dream that you don’t fight for can haunt you for the rest of your life.
